Trans Pennine Trail Ranger Station, Statham Avenue, off Whitbarrow Road, Lymm, WA13 9AQ

Browse map

This is a ride of 35 miles around the quiet country lanes of North Cheshire. It commences from the car park at the Trans Pennine Trail Ranger station alongside the Old Lymm Hotel on Statham Avenue, Lymm, WA13 9AQ.

We initially travel in an Easterly direction along the Trans Pennine Trail to Broadheath, leaving the TPT we move on to the local roads around Oldfield Brow, Bowden and Hale as we make our way onwards towards Ashley.

At Ashley we will turn West and make our way around the Tatton Park estate and onwards to Knutsford.

Once at Knutsford we will take a break at The Courtyard Coffee House in Knutsford. There is a Penny Farthing/Cycling inspired museum on site for you to peruse whilst you enjoy your break.

After our break we leave Knutsford, passing the exit from Tatton Park and continue to enjoy the quite country lanes of Cheshire, passing through Tabley, Pickmere and Aston by Budworth. The return to Lymm sees us travelling through Sworton Heath, Deansgreen and Oughtrington, arriving back into Lymm village centre down the cobbles of Pepper Street, from where it is an easy 400 yard cycle back to the start point.

We look forward to welcoming both members and guests to this ride.

John B will be leading this ride, who else will be joining him?

    Hi John,
Sorry but can’t make this ride and that’s disappointing because I always enjoy the rides we do around the Cheshire countryside.
